Dimensionally stable
The finger joints are glued together using a melamine adhesive which, unlike PU glue, does not change colour even when the timber turns grey. This advanced fixing technique automatically provides structural protection for the wood. There are no fibres missing at the knots, as all knots have been removed.

Due to the long-term cooperation with our customers, who are established on the market, we are able to demonstrate the necessary certification in addition to the attendant quality.

The advantages of BILAM or TRILAM beams arise from a fascinating combination of extreme toughness and pleasing aesthetics. Due to the simple, stable glue joint, a solid wood character is retained, thus making them popular for use as visible components.

Window scantlings
Production is done using ultra-modern timber processing systems and begins sawing trunk lengths. Particular attention is paid to the quality and size of the boards. The sawn board sections are then packed in such a way as to ensure the timber dries optimally. The timbers are dried artificially and sorted according to radial or tangential cuts. Modern optimisation technology is used to cut out all defects unacceptable for the finishing phase.
Subsequently these sections are glued with a special adhesive to form 6100mm sections which are then planed down and after 24 hours they are glued together according to the details of each order. Gluelam and mini-gluelam products
Graggaber produces mountain larch gluelam products in every size and shape, from large gluelam beams, to smaller laminated sections and mini gluelam items. Our laminate bonding service also produces weather-resistant beams and sections. Gluelam sections can be cut and packaged to order.
Wherever high dimensional stability and accuracy – combined with economy and an elegant appearance – are required, glued laminated timber beats solid wood. The rigid connection between the individual pieces of wood creates components that have much better technical properties than solid wood. Glued laminated timber can be used as a special component to deal with wide surfaces and challenging static requirements.
